A Funny Creative Poem on “The Startup That Tried to Sell Ice to Eskimos“
In a land of snow and chilly breeze,
A startup launched with hopes to please.
Their product bold, their mission grand,
To sell some ice in the frozen land.
They pitched it hard with a catchy song,
“Why buy our ice? You can’t go wrong!
It’s premium grade, it’s slick, it’s cool,
Far better than your glacier pool!”
The Eskimos scratched their heads in doubt,
“We’ve got enough ice to go around, no doubt.”
But the startup team, oh, they wouldn’t quit,
They thought their idea was pure gold— a hit!
“We’ll cube it, shave it, make it round!
Our special ice will soon astound!”
They held up charts, they made a plan,
“With just one block, you’ll be our fan!”
The Eskimos laughed, a hearty sound,
“We’ve got ice blocks all over the ground!”
But the team was sure of a coming boom,
They rented a swanky igloo room.
With slick brochures and a startup glow,
They offered samples made of snow.
“See how it shines, how smooth it feels?
Our premium ice will seal the deals!”
An elder spoke with a puzzled face,
“We live in a very cold, icy place.
Why pay for ice when it’s free outside?
Your sales pitch here takes quite a ride.”
But the startup founder, full of glee,
Said, “Our ice is artisanal, don’t you see?
We’ve hand-carved each with love and care,
You won’t find ice like this anywhere!”
The Eskimos shrugged, amused but firm,
“We’ll stick with our own, long-term.
Your fancy ice, though polished well,
Just isn’t something we need to sell.”
But undeterred, the team pushed on,
“Don’t worry, we’ll turn this con!”
They set up booths and ice displays,
Hoping for some icy praise.
They launched an app, they made a site,
“Buy our ice with one-click tonight!”
The orders came in… but just from mom,
Who thought her child’s plan was the bomb.
One Eskimo, feeling kind, did say,
“Your ice is nice, in a corporate way.
But if it melts, what’s next for you?
Selling sand in the desert too?”
The founder grinned, with a wink and spark,
“That’s the next step, you’re really quite sharp!”
They packed their bags, dreams high once more,
Off to the desert for their next big score!
So off they went, full of zest and might,
To pitch some sand in broad daylight.
But that’s another tale for another day,
Where desert folk had quite a lot to say!
